Just when you think life couldn't possibly be any more stressful... it gets a worse. When we were in the emergency room on Wednesday night, Dan asked the medical student to look at his chart to see if the pathology is back. Yes it is... the medical student started to read it out loud and immediately regretted her decision. One lymph node is infected. ONE... ugh!! So that means chemo and radiation. So discouraging. There was an awkward silence in the room after she finished reading the report. Dan doesn't want to tell anyone.. so no one knows yet. We're just going to ponder on what this means for a few days. Maybe live in denial for a day or two... I want to cry.
