Our Miracle

We are so incredibly happy right now!!  Dr. Pickron just called Dan.  They have the results back from the MRI.  Dr. Pickron said he's completely surprised.  The tumor is smaller than it looked on Friday.  They are calling is stage 1 cancer with a T2 tumor.  They are recommending having surgery without the chemo/radiation.  It is scheduled for August 22.
We feel so completely humbled that the Lord would bless us with this miracle. It is still going to be an intense surgery and recovery but it is so so much easier than the other road.
We are so grateful for the faith and prayers of our family and friends.  We know the Lord has blessed us with a true miracle!  Dr. Pickron told Dan in his office on Friday that he was fairly confident that  it was Stage 3b cancer.  The long term prognosis for this is somewhat discouraging. We are so humbled right now that the Lord has blessed us.  Dr. Pickron looked the tumor himself on Friday and said it is large and ulcerated.  The MRI is now showing that the tumor is only 3 cm.  There are a few lymph nodes that the doctors want to biopsy but they feel fairly confident that these nodes are not malignant.
